Pricing for A Sacred Journey Custom Painting

I simultaneously hold space for my belief that this art is medicine, that healing medicine should be a service freely available to all; and the reality that I live in a place that requires money in exchange for my basic survival. Navigating the bridge between these two truths is complex. I’m newly forging a new relationship to money and exchange of money for art. Please allow me some grace as I figure this out, and send any feedback you may have.

The true cost for a custom Sacred Journey painting is $700. The size is 16x20”. These paintings require reflection and meditation on my part, in addition to actual painting time and conversations with the client. Maybe you’re thriving financially and can support my efforts to make healing art more accessible by spending above the actual price. Maybe your strengths do not include bulging bank accounts and you need to spend less. The first part of the journey will be to be honest about what you can afford, and what kind of resources you’ve had access to in life. 

This pricing model is not a discount, it’s a conversation about the realities of inequality and being paid fairly for services. It’s about finding other ways to be, without my needing to take time away from art-making to work a traditional job. I don’t value human beings, including clients, based on how much money they have. If this art will be healing to you, and will help bring about a higher vibe world, then lets work together.
